At Southland, reaching central Kentucky for Christ has always been our vision. We do this by living life with Jesus, in community, and on mission, which equips us to Love God and Love People locally, regionally, and globally!

Baptized in 2023

We witnessed an extraordinary number of individuals choosing to be baptized in 2023, publicly declaring their dedication to Jesus—a life liberated from sin and stepping into the promise of everlasting life.

"For when we died with Christ we were set free..." Romans 6:7

Every baptism represents a story... a story of someone who has chosen to follow Jesus, trading death for life, and publicly declaring it.

GROWTH

In 2023, Southland has grown consistently in nearly every way. Weekly, we are seeing more new faces, hearing more laughter, and joining alongside new friends to worship and learn more about Jesus. Growth means increased impact in our neighborhoods, cities, state, and well beyond—we’re excited to see what that looks like in 2024!

SOUTHLAND STUDENTS

At Southland Students, we aim to create a space where students can truly feel belonging. Every student is challenged to discover their genuine identity in Jesus, beyond the trends of culture and influence of social media. We aim for each student to deeply connect with Jesus, engage in small groups, and love God and people daily in their homes, schools, and wherever they go!

Southland Students exists to help students live With Jesus, In Community, and On Mission.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

At Southland, we want to help parents raise kids who love Jesus, love the Bible, and love people. We also want to make it really easy to bring your children to church to help you grow together as a family. That’s why we have Children’s environments open each Sunday for our services at 9:30am and 11:15am.

This year, Southland Special Needs had a party that was “out of this world.” Record-setting Jesus Prom attendance meant over 1,000 volunteers had the opportunity to show the love of Jesus to over 1,000 people with special needs in our community at a night dedicated just to them.

Southland Special Needs extends beyond just one night. In 2023, we reintroduced GLOW at our Danville Campus, expanding adult special needs services to Boyle County. We now offer these services for adults at our Nicholasville, Lexington, and Danville campuses, and for children at Nicholasville, Lexington, Danville, and Georgetown. We’re extremely excited to announce that land has been acquired for Southland’s Richmond Campus to build a permanent location. Averaging 800 people for Sunday services and rapidly expanding ministry across the board, the welcome we’ve received in Madison County has been incredible.
